Warranty policy

You have acquired a TECAM product of excellent quality and manufacturing, along with our support for service and spare parts. The performance and functionality of TECAM products is based on their modern technology and proven satisfaction of our customers’ needs. TECAM S.A. guarantees -for a one (1) year period, starting on the purchase invoice date- that the workmanship applied in the manufacturing of TECAM products and/or its (the “equipment”) materials manufactured by TECAM, is free of defects that affect its proper functioning, as long as it is used in accordance with TECAM S.A.´s specifications.

TECAM S.A. does not provide installation or assembly services for the equipment and, consequently, does not assume any commitment or responsibility regarding the installation and assembly of the equipment by a third party, even when such work is carried out by an installer approved by TECAM S.A.

Any defect that the installer may detect in the equipment must be immediately reported in writing to the TECAM S.A. Customer Service area, if possible before proceeding with the installation or assembly. Any damage that occurs to the equipment because of having installed and/or put it into operation, notwithstanding the known existence of a defect, invalidates this warranty.

HOW TO FILE A CLAIM UNDER THIS WARRANTY
  1. Any claim under this warranty must be made indicating the number of the respective sales invoice and the serial number of the equipment in question. TECAM S.A. may request you show the label or identification plate attached to the equipment.
  2. Use a copy of the form provided by TECAM S.A. for reporting defective equipment and parts. Provide complete and truthful information.
  3. Submit and send your claim to the following address and keep a copy of the claim for your own records:

  4. The Customer Support area will evaluate the claim and will resolve it. The
    delivery of the equipment for which the claim is made to TECAM S.A. is necessary, if TECAM S.A. requires it.
  5. Technical Visit: In case a technical visit is required to inspect the equipment, this will have a cost (which varies according to the capacity of the equipment, type of product and place where it is installed). The value of the technical visit must be paid in advance. If the claim is well founded, i.e. it corresponds to a warranty, the value of the visit will be reimbursed.
  6. Spare parts: They can be purchased through the factory at the address noted above.
REMARKS

This warranty is limited solely and exclusively, at the discretion of TECAM S.A. to the repair or replacement of the part or element that was defective at the time of delivery or
dispatch of the equipment by TECAM S.A. TECAM S.A. is not responsible for the payment of labor to third parties for warranty purposes. TECAM S.A.’s warranty does not cover damage to electrical or electronic components such as controllers, timers, breakers, voltage monitors, transformers, contactors which are prone to voltage variations, calibrated components such as pressure switches, thermostats, etc. It does not include loss of profits caused by the time of its restitution, nor civil liability.

THIS WARRANTY SHALL BECOME NULL AND VOID IN THE FOLLOWING EVENTS:
  1. When a defective or inadequate installation or assembly of the equipment is carried out, putting it to work in conditions that do not comply with the specifications given by TECAM S.A.
  2. When the equipment is misused and operated incorrectly, or its maintenance (including but not limited to general care, coil cleaning, filter cleaning and replacement, lubrication, and adjustments) is performed inadequately or poorly, in a way that does not comply with the specifications given by TECAM S.A.  By way of example, the following events are cited:
    a. When the equipment is operated with a lack of refrigerant and/or oil, caused
    by leaks or other irregularities beyond the control of the manufacturer of the equipment.
    b. When the equipment is operated with defective electrical elements or components
    or unstable situations such as voltage variations, blown or defective fuses, open breakers, uncalibrated devices, or other inappropriate conditions such as: power supply failures, phase reversal, or faulty electrical installations.
    c. When the equipment is operated with defective and/or inadequate accessories that
    lead to malfunction or damage to the equipment.
    d. The alteration, alternation, or modification of the equipment or its operating controls in a way that has not been authorized by TECAM S.A. or that does not conform to the specifications of the respective equipment given by TECAM S.A.
  3. When failures occur during the transportation of products, materials, or parts, after they have been removed from of TECAM S.A.´S warehouses.
  4. When damage is caused by atmospheric or environmental conditions, whatever they may be, including but not limited to corrosive atmospheres or contaminated environments.

TECAM S.A. assumes no responsibility for the selection of the equipment and its components made by the purchaser or end user, including but not limited to circumstances such as whether the equipment has the characteristics and capacity to meet the purchaser’s or end user’s needs.

This warranty does not cover any aspect that are not expressly and explicitly stated in this
warranty.
